Take the Fifth Noble Truth To Success

It is important to bring together the mind, body and spirit to experience true success in life.

In my years of practicing martial arts, I have come across four certain truths called the Four Basic Principles of Aikido. Actually, there are really five of them and I call them the Five Noble Truths. I have found that the principles are not limited to Aikido but ones that you can use everyday to attract success into your life.

FOCUS ON YOUR ONE POINT
Keep One Point teaches you to keep focused.

If you are not focused, you are saying to the universe of success, “my mind is cluttered, there is no room for the Universe of Success.”

RELAX
Do not put up the big “Speak-to-the-Hand” sign to the Universe of Success. You are putting up a mental wall called stress.

KEEP YOUR WEIGHT UNDERSIDE
Keep your weight underside or you will be saying to the Universe of Success, “Go away, I can’t take anymore weight on my shoulders.”

EXTEND KI ENERGY
If your ki does not flow, you will be saying to the Universe of Success, “I don’t want to extend my energy to you. Give me, give me, give me.” The Universe will not answer.

Take a Test: Remove the paper that the disposable chopstick is wrapped in and break the chopstick with it, Karate-style.

Here’s a Hint: If you followed the rules of this exam by thinking to yourself, “Keep One Point, Relax Completely, Keep Weight Underside, Extend Ki,” you would FAIL miserably. The Universe of Success will not be able to hear you through all that chatter in your head.

If the Four Basic Principles were truly mastered, you will have broken the chopstick and opened up the Fifth Noble Truth.

THE SECRET PRINCIPLE is: Forget Everything – Just Do
For example, when you learned how to drive a stick shift; you had to learn how to shift gears, step on the gas, work the dashboard and the brakes, never mind all the traffic rules. Remembering to do all of the steps at once resulted in frightened looks from people you almost ran over.

But things magically true mastery. You don’t recall pulling out of the parking lot and you don’t care because you are enjoying the smooth ride to empowerment. This is the Fifth Noble Truth – Just Do. It’s nothing new. When you open your mind to the Universe, empowerment, successful jobs, whatever you desire become available just for you and you will be there to accept it.

Procrastination is the means of putting off a task for another day even though you have the ability and the time to obtain those goals right now.

When you procrastinate, you are actually not getting to achieve what you are capable of achieving and that can cause you to miss out on many opportunities for success in many ways. Procrastination can ruin your career because it may be the one thing that shows others that you are unable to achieve your goals.

How can you actually get around this problem, then? Start with learning what is happening and knowing how to react when you start to procrastinate. When you acknowledge that you are procrastinating or about to, you can recognize this, stop it and get back on track to better managing your time.

It is also essential for you to understand why people procrastinate and in doing so you will be in a better position to avoid allowing it to happen to you, over and over again.

Finally, you need to take the right steps to managing your time so that you can manage the outcomes of your time by learning how to handle procrastination. It’s a mind set that you can not afford with the limited amount of time that you actually have.

Procrastination is defined as putting off doing something that you should be putting your attention onto right now. Usually, people do this when they want to do something else that is favorable, a bit more fun or even just easier.

Is this you? Do you spend long days hard at work but you are actually investing your time in accomplishing the easy tasks instead of taking on the larger, more important tasks?

A common problem here is that many people can not see the difference between priorities in tasks. For example, you have an important task to complete. You also have an urgent task to complete. Which do you go to first? You should accomplish the important task because it is just that, important!

Too many people look towards accomplish the things that they think are necessary to complete right now, forgo the important task and then need to find a way or a time to balance the ball in their favor.

Here is an example. Let’s say you are working at your desk and in walks your boss. They need you to handle an important client. The phone rings, it is another employee, struggling to accomplish his task and wants your help. You get back to work. The other employee calls again. They need you. Which task do you do; the important client or the employee that will keep calling until you help?

The task here that you should be completing is that which is important, the one that requires your full attention and that will get you the most bang for the buck.

Unfortunately, far too many people strive to accomplish that other task because that person has complained, called and got into their head and they now are the loudest voice there telling them what to do.

So, do you procrastinate? If so, it’s time to take action.

If you are going to mc a wedding you certainly cannot afford to procrastinate. If you do the wedding reception could turn into a disaster.

Clarity, focus and success in these 7 physical realms of organized living help bring you super-satisfaction.

Here is the countdown:

1. Life Management – Environment

(where you go and where you stay)

What is your most regular environment? You probably do not visit too many different places during your normal days.

So make a list. I love lists. They work. Make a list of the regular environment you find yourself in. Bedroom, Bathroom, Kitchen, Living Room, Car, Train, Office, Gym, etc.

Of course, once you have this list you can begin to control how each is organized, and how you and your things and activities are organized in each.

2. Life Management – Occupation

(career development and creative projects)

Getting organized at work requires quite something special, especially if you work with the types of clients that I do. Are there some things that regularly cause you disorganization at work?

What would your occupation look like if ideally organized? Time Management is also pretty vital here so you might want to see: time management training.

(your lifestyle choices, purpose, direction and gadgets)

Major Problems With Time Management Systems

Posted on April 20, 2008
Filed Under Stress & Time Management | Leave a Comment

Prioritizing by level of importance is a major problem for many people trying to achieve success with time management software and tools. Visit time management software and tools.

Time management trainers still pull the wool over your eyes with the old-fashioned technique of prioritizing by importance. Another problem area is scheduling activities to time. And a third problem is using weekly to-do lists.

Prioritizing by importance has been a common sense time management technique taught for years. So telling you that it is a bad technique might raise some red flags. That’s ok. I know I’m right. And you will discover your own solution for time management skills by understanding this article.

Naturally, the ‘time flies’ phenomenon is great if you’re in ‘the zone’ of productivity and life satisfaction. But how do you juggle all the deadlines, resources, and other people to find the balance?

And you have the problem of combining your social life with your career development, because we all know that modern lifestyles are crossing the border between your professional time management, and your social life.

Weekends are a great time to catch up o life’s basic necessities. Because the week is so hectic. But imagine a handful of chores including cooking, filing in some documents, getting the pet to the vet, mowing the grass. The chores easily stack up. How can you really prioritize it all?

Have you tried prioritizing a list of things to do when you have dozens of things to do? It gets messy doesn’t it? You try to arrange the order to decide on the most important thing. And you go and do that first. The thing is that areas of life get neglected because there isn’t enough time to do everything when you prioritize by importance. Some things are always low on the list.

If you organized everything by level of importance you will end up rushing around putting out fires because you neglected things until they were practically emergencies, such as cutting the grass (forest!) or exercising, or organizing the files on your computer.

You could try combining importance with urgency. On Saturday afternoon you want to take your daughter to her tutor, get your hair cut, read through the office paperwork you’ve brought home with you because there wasn’t enough time at work last week. Now, you realize it will be hard to fit all those things in. So you decide to not get your hair cut again this weekend. Until your wife nags at you for having long scruffy hair it’s not urgent is it.

Prioritizing by urgency, what would you do? Take your daughter. Get your hair cut. Read the office paper work. More and more of life gets neglected and messy.

Taking your daughter to her lesson is not as important as reading the office information. So the office work is more important (you’ll be fired if you don’t keep up). But the lesson for your daughter is in an hour, so that’s urgent. You could try doing them both at the same time couldn’t you?

Now that your wife has made fun of your long hair it gets adjusted from priority C to priority A. The office memo can be done Sunday evening so that’s actually priority B. But taking the wife shopping is a priority A as she’s nagging that you didn’t have time to go food shopping last week and she can’t carry it all her self.

Along comes Saturday afternoon, and Sally’s tutorship now gets crossed off the B list and put on the A list because it’s Saturday, and you’ve got Memo and Sally’s Tutorship on the A list.

The ABCDE method of prioritizing by importance creates a lot of difficulty. Even with just those handful of tasks to account for. When life is far more varied and complex. And you know the mess experienced with time management when everything is put into the mix. Trying to prioritize by importance and urgency is, as I hope you’ll agree, next to impossible, and highly impractical.

Modern time management needs something far better than the old fashioned method of prioritizing. Such a limiting time management technique creates big problems. Find solutions: time management software and tools.

When you free yourself of the higher authority of traditional time management skills you will have a chance to develop your natural time management skill. Hopefully this article has made you skeptical of following normal time management skills so that you search and find something genuinely better for modern life. See time management tips.
